John Lemon, Milton and John Tootle 

(Tootle Manufacturing Company) 

  • In 1877, the George Buell joins with John S. Lemon, who had acquired a small mill in Kansas.  

 

  • After the death of prominent businessman Milton Tootle, Lemon oversaw the education of Milton Tootle, Jr. and John Tootle.

 

  • Milton and John eventually became Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurers of the Buell Woolen Mills and ran the Tootle Manufacturing Company.
